Last updated: August 25, 2026
Program Name
RoommateConnect.AI, operated by Compatibility LLC.
Consent
By providing your mobile phone number, you agree to receive SMS from RoommateConnect.AI regarding matches, invitations and account activity.
Msg and data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
Program Description
RoommateConnect.AI sends transactional, account-related text messages to residents of student housing and co-living properties. Message types include:
- Another resident has sent you a message.
- Another resident has invited you or requested to become your roommate.
- Your roommate request was approved or declined.
- Your match results or room assignment are available.
- An invitation from your property operator to create your account before its assessment deadline.
We do not send marketing, advertising, or promotional text messages.
How to Opt In
Residents opt in from inside their RoommateConnect.AI account. After signing in at student.roommateconnect.ai, a resident opens Account Settings, enters a mobile phone number in the Phone Number field, and clicks Update Account. This disclosure is shown directly above that field, at the point of collection:

Providing a phone number will allow Compatibility to notify you via SMS (text) when resident(s) wish to contact you and/or request to become your roommate. Your phone number will not be used for marketing purposes and will not be viewable or shared with anyone else.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.
By submitting this form you consent to receive the SMS notifications described above at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of using the service. See our SMS Messaging Terms and Privacy Policy.
Submitting that form is the resident’s express written consent to receive the messages described above at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of any purchase and is not required to use the Services. A resident who leaves the phone number field empty receives no text messages.
How We Obtain Your Mobile Number
Your number reaches RoommateConnect.AI one of two ways.
You enter it yourself. Most residents add their own mobile number in Account Settings, as described above. The consent disclosure is shown at the point of entry.
Your property operator provides it. For the initial invitation to create your account, the property operator or institution that houses you provides the mobile number it already holds for you under your resident, leasing, or housing agreement, for the purpose of housing-related communications. Operators are responsible for having obtained your consent to be contacted at that number. This single invitation tells you how to create your account before your property’s assessment deadline.
In both cases you control what happens next. Replying STOP to any message ends all text messages immediately, and you can remove your number in Account Settings at any time. Every message we send includes opt-out instructions.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies with your activity in the Services. Most residents receive fewer than 10 messages per month.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. RoommateConnect.AI does not charge for text notifications. Contact your wireless carrier for the details of your plan.
How to Opt Out
Reply STOP to any message to stop all text notifications. You will receive one confirmation message and nothing after that. You may also clear your phone number at any time in Account Settings.
How to Get Help
Reply HELP to any message, or email info@roommateconnect.ai.
